Discovery 2 Scale will establish its headquarters and laboratory at Nambé Pueblo, creating more than 80 high-paying jobs and expanding New Mexico’s advanced materials manufacturing capabilities. With Local Economic Development Act support, D2S plans to lease and improve laboratory and office space.

D2S CEO has deployed the world’s first autonomous arc-melting platform to accelerate the discovery and synthesis of advanced materials. By combining materials science expertise, AI-guided experiment planning, and robotic execution, the platform helps move faster from material concepts to physical samples ready for testing and qualification.
This approach reduces traditional bottlenecks in materials research by automating repetitive synthesis steps, capturing structured process data, and feeding each result back into the discovery loop.
